About us

Taunton Amnesty is part of a network of local groups around the UK that contribute to Amnesty International’s work to defend human rights around the world.

We are a friendly group of local people, ranging in age from our 20s to our 80s. The group is active in the local community and has strong links with the network of local groups in the South West area.

Why not come along to one of our monthly meetings?

Here you can find out more about human rights and how you can get involved with workshops, event planning, campaign actions, letter writing, fundraising and local community events.

Our meetings are held 7.30-9.30PM on the second Tuesday of every month at the Friends Meeting House, Bath Place, Taunton. Click here for more information.

Recently we have visited schools, ran stalls at local community events, and held Write for Rights events as part of the annual greetings card campaign. Find out more about our upcoming and past events.
